Midway Connection, the regional airline partner of MidwayAirlines, announced today it would begin service June 17, 1996 between the Baltimore/Washington area and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina via Norfolk, VA. Providing non-stop service between BWI and Norfolk, VA.. The airline will inaugurate service at Baltimore/ Washington International Airport (BWI) with three daily flights.

"With a strong mix of leisure and business travel, the Baltimore/ Washington area is a perfect market to serve from Midway's growing route network along the East Coast."
The schedules have been designed to provide Baltimore/Washington area travelers convenient morning, afternoon and evening departures to Norfolk and continuing one stop service to Raleigh-Durham. At Midway's Raleigh-Durham Hub, travelers will have the choice of convenient connections to Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, Savannah, Hilton Head, Charleston and west to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Cancun, Mexico.

Service to BWI will be provided with 19 passenger Beechcraft 1900 equipment featuring reclining leather seats with seat back tray tables and spacious leg room with underseat storage. With the addition of BWI, Midway Connection and Midway Airlines will be providing scheduled service to 25 cities throughout the United States and Mexico.
