Midway Connection, the regional airline partner of Midway Airlines, announced today it would begin non-stop service August 1, 1996 from Columbia to Nashville, Hilton Head and Greenville-Spartanburg. The new service features two daily round trip flights to Hilton Head and two to Nashville with a stop at Greenville-Spartanburg.
"We are delighted to add these three new destinations to our Columbia operation", said Robert Hawkins, Vice President,
Marketing and Sales of Midway Connection. "The new service nicely compliments our present flights to the Midway Airlines
Hub at Raleigh-Durham."
"Further" Hawkins said, "recent growth at the Raleigh-Durham Hub has expanded our direct connecting capability from
Columbia to Los Angeles, Columbus,OH, Richmond, Baltimore, and Washington Dulles.

Service from Columbia and the new destinations will be provided with 19 passenger Beechcraft 1900 equipment featuring reclining leather seats with seat back tray tables and spacious leg room with underseat storage.
