Midway Connection, the regional airline partner of Midway Airlines, is planning to introduce larger aircraft between Columbus and Raleigh-Durham, NC.

Beginning August 1st, Midway Connection is adding the Embraer (EMB-120) Brasilia advanced turboprop aircraft on most flights between Columbus and Raleigh-Durham, NC. The 11:55 AM midday flight and 5:00 PM flight will operate with EMB-120's. The 6:45 AM non-stop will continue to be scheduled with Beechcraft 1900 equipment. The EMB-120 is a thrity passenger aircraft which features overhead storage bins and flight attendant on-board service.

"The increase in capacity from the EMB-120's is a result of the strong market demand from Columbus since service was introduced in June", said Robert Hawkins, Vice President Sales and Marketing for Midway Connection. "Our new service provides direct connections throughout the day to Midway's Raleigh-Durham Hub flights, as well as a solid pattern of morning, afternoon and evening flights for local Raleigh-Durham travelers."

The EMB-120 flights from Columbus offer fast connections at Midway's Raleigh-Durham Hub to over thirty cities throughout the Southeast, Florida and Cancun in Mexico.
