UNITED EXPRESS ANNOUNCES EXPANDED SERVICE AT BISMARCK, ND

Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd (Nasdaq: GLUX ) announced today the expansion of its United Express service at Bismarck, ND.
Beginning October 1, 1996 two additional nonstop round trip flights will be added on weekdays between Bismarck and Denver International Airport. An expanded weekend schedule is also planned.

Five of the six weekday round trips will be scheduled in 30 seat EMB-120 Brasilia aircraft. This regional airliner features an expanded cabin-class interior with a flight attendant, inflight beverage service, stand-up headroom and a lavatory. The sixth round trip will be scheduled in Beechcraft 1900D equipment which also features stand-up headroom and higher cruise speeds.

United Express flights serving Bismarck are conveniently timed for United Airlines' business customers and leisure travelers making connections at United's Denver hub where United and United Express carriers provide over 400 daily flights serving over 100 cities.
