Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. ( Nasdaq: GLUX) announced today the inauguration of service at Show Low, Arizona.
Beginning October 27, 1996, Great Lakes Airlines will provide three round trips on weekdays between Show Low and
Phoenix. A single round trip will be scheduled on Saturdays with two round trips on Sundays.
All flights will operate in pressurized 19 seat Beech 1900C regional airliners featuring reclining seats, drop-down tray tables and under seat storage space for carry-on items. The aircraft's superior operating performance and pressurized cabin will allow swift climbs to altitudes well above weather systems and bumpy air.
These new Great Lakes Airlines flights have been timed not only to serve the local residents traveling to and from Phoenix but also to link the area with destinations throughout the U.S. . Joint fares with most major airlines serving Phoenix will enable Show Low / Pinetop-Lakeside air travelers to save time and money for both business and leisure travel.
An unrestricted introductory fare of $69 one way will be offered for travel between October 27th and November 24, 1996. Normal fares between Show Low and Phoenix will range from $108 for a round trip 21-day advance purchase to $89 for a one way walk up fare. A 3-day advance purchase one way fare of $75 will also be available.
