Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. Announces New Director of Operations

CHEYENNE, Wyo., May 15, 2004 � Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: GLUX � news) today announced the promotion of Captain Tory Meisel to Director of Operations. Captain Meisel transferred from the Safety department where he served most recently as Director of Safety.  He has been with the company since 1992. Tory replaces Bruce Gunberg who left the company to accept another position. �Tory brings a wealth of knowledge to this position. His experience in flying the line as a Captain and formally working as the Director of Safety will be an invaluable asset here at Great Lakes�, said Chuck Howell, CEO.

Great Lakes is providing scheduled passenger service at 37 airports in ten states with a fleet of Embraer EMB-120 Brasilias and Raytheon/Beech 1900D regional airliners. A total of 174 weekday flights are scheduled at three hubs, with 164 flights at Denver, 4 flights at Minneapolis/St. Paul, and 6 flights at Phoenix. All scheduled flights are operated under the Great Lakes Airlines marketing identity in conjunction with code-share agreements with United Airlines and Frontier Airlines at their Denver hub.
