GREAT LAKES AIRLINES ANNOUNCES THE INAUGURATION OF SCHEDULED
FLIGHTS TO ROCKY POINT
Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. (Nasdaq: GLUX) announced today the inauguration of scheduled flights to Rocky Point in Sonora, Mexico.
Beginning January 16, 1997 nonstop flights will be added between Phoenix and Rocky Point operating on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. In addition, nonstop flights will be added between Tucson and Rocky Point on Fridays and Sundays. Flying time from both Arizona cities to Rocky Point will be approximately 45 minutes.
All flights will be scheduled in pressurized Beech 1900 regional airliners featuring reclining leather seats, ample space for carry-on as well as checked luggage items and high 300 mph cruise speeds in air-conditioned comfort at altitudes above most turbulence.
A $59.00 introductory fare will be offered for travel between January 16th and February 10th. Normal fares will be as low as $128 round trip (advance purchase and other restrictions apply; international taxes and airport use fees are not included). In addition, coupon booked will be available for frequent travelers to Rocky Point as well as to all other destinations served by Great Lakes Airlines.
