Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. Announces Pricing Initiatives

CHEYENNE, Wyo., April 29, 2003 - Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. (OTC
Bulletin Board: GLUX ) today announced that it has removed the 21
day advance purchase fare level and has added a new 7 day advance
purchase fare level to it's lowest discounted fares.  In addition, the
14 day advance purchase price has been lowered to make it easier for the
traveling public to enjoy the company's convenient reliable service.

The Company's policy update reflects a change in consumer booking
patterns.   Great Lakes CEO Chuck Howell stated:  "The importance of
making our product more available to the traveling public is paramount
in this economically challenging time." 

As of April 6, 2003, Great Lakes is providing scheduled passenger
service at 41 airports in eleven states with a fleet of Embraer EMB-120
Brasilias and Raytheon/Beech 1900D regional airliners.  A total of 180
weekday flights are scheduled at three hubs, with 164 flights at Denver,
10 flights at Minneapolis/St. Paul, and 6 flights at Phoenix.  All
scheduled flights are operated under the Great Lakes Airlines marketing
identity in conjunction with code-share agreements with United Airlines
and Frontier Airlines.
