GREAT LAKES AVIATION REPORTS JANUARY TRAFFIC.
Cheyenne, Wyoming February 8, 2001 Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. (NASDAQ:GLUX) today announced preliminary passenger traffic results for the month of January.
Scheduled service generated 17,670,378 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 2.4 percent decrease from the same month last year. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased 4.3 percent to 42,757,089. As a result load factor decreased 2.9 points to 41.3 percent. Passengers carried decreased 2.2 percent compared to January, 2000 to 74,952.

As of February 1, 2001, United Express flights were being provided at 58 airports in fourteen states with a fleet of eight Embraer EMB-120 Brasilias and 40 Raytheon/Beech 1900D regional airliners. A total of 318 weekday flights are scheduled at three hubs, with 94 flights at Chicago-O'Hare, 216 flights at Denver and 8 flights at Minneapolis/St. Paul. In addition, the company operates four weekday round trip flights between Springfield, Illinois and Chicago-Meigs Field. All scheduled flights are operated under the United Express marketing identity.
