CHEYENNE, Wyo., Sept. 17 Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. (OTC Bulletin Board: GLUX) today announced that beginning October 1, 2002, all schedules flights between Denver International Airport and Williston and Dickinson, North Dakota will be flown with the thirty seat EMB-120 Brasilia aircraft.

"We appreciate the support that has been provided by the communities and the North Dakota congressional members in developing Department of Transportation (DOT) support for the enhanced Essential Air Service (EAS)," said Doug Voss, President.

U.S. Senator Byron Dorgan (D-ND) said, "I worked closely with local airport and city officials and Great Lakes Aviation to convince the federal Department of Transportation to provide extra funding to make the upgrade possible. The enhanced airline service will be an important boost to the economies in Williston, Dickinson and the entire region. More people are going to have the opportunity to fly in and out of western North Dakota. That's good news for business as well as leisure travelers."

The upgraded equipment type will offer a flight attendant, overhead storage compartments, and a lavatory. In addition, existing weekend flying will be retimed to offer more convenient travel times for passengers. All flights are timed to make convenient connections with flights scheduled by United Airlines and Frontier Airlines to/from Denver.

As of September 5, 2002, scheduled passenger service was being provided at 48 airports in fifteen states with a fleet of Embraer EMB-120 Brasilias and Raytheon/Beech 1900D regional airliners. A total of 220 weekday flights are scheduled at four hubs, with 176 flights at Denver, 24 flights at Chicago - O'Hare International Airport, 14 flights at Minneapolis/St. Paul, and 6 flights at Phoenix. All scheduled flights are operated under the Great Lakes Airlines marketing identity in conjunction with code-share agreements with United Airlines and Frontier Airlines.
