FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Dick Fontaine GREAT LAKES AVIATION TO UPGRADE ALL UNITED EXPRESS FLIGHTS BETWEEN PIERRE, SD AND DENVER TO NONSTOPS BEGINNING APRIL 2, 2000. Spencer, Iowa -- March 6, 2000 -- Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. (NASDAQ:GLUX) today announced that beginning April 2, 2000, all three of its United Express flights between Pierre, South Dakota and Denver will be upgraded from one stop to nonstop flights. This will reduce elapsed flight time by 25 minutes and result in improved connecting opportunities at United Airlines' Denver hub.A third nonstop flight has also been added on Sundays on both directions. Saturday service will continue to be two round trip flights (both nonstop). Weekday flights will depart Pierre at 7:50am, 12:30pm, and 6:25pm. Return flights will depart Denver at 12:30pm, 3:30pm, and 8:00pm and arrive Pierre at 3:01pm, 6:01pm, and 10:31pm respectively. All flights are timed to make convenient connections with more than 450 nonstop flights scheduled by United Airlines and United Express from Denver to more than 120 Destinations.
