GREAT LAKES AVIATION TO REMAIN LISTED ON NASDAQ SMALLCAP MARKET.

Spencer, Iowa -- September 16, 1998 -- Great Lakes Aviation, Ltd. announced today that it has been notified by NASDAQ that it has met all applicable conditions for the continued listing of its common stock on the NASDAQ SmallCap Market. Accordingly, effective September 17, 1998, the trading symbol of the Company's common stock will be restored to GLUX.
